So I really want to build the Grumman HU-16 Albatross with all the Expendables markings on it, but dang the only kit out there is 1/48 and like $95...anybody have kit they want to sell? If not, I might need to find way to justify it. I know I’ll need to create custom decals for it, which is kinda fun. Let me know gang, willing to trade custom decal design services for a deal on this kit if you have one on the shelf.

Not much of a savings but I found this:

There are also 1/144 options, but that's pretty small.

go with Canadair CL-215 in expendables 2 or AN-26 from 3rd movie.
i wanted to do Albatross, but white/black letters/logos would be pain to mask and white decal paper is too thick.

It'll be an interesting aircraft if you can do it, Matt. Good luck.

It’d be a hell of a build, Matt. I can see why the challenge is calling to you...

It has to be said it is a gorgeous colour scheme.

This is an A-model, 1/72, build by Italain modeler Michele Raus. Not an eas kit, not cheap. 40 euros, few ears ago. Decal design and printed by the author. https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Kiyn5t3YfTU/WVzuJzTDVwI/AAAAAAAALAY/Pci_MoSsZK0SlTBRQL-t1Mnpk8AeczpgwCLcBGAs/s1600/An-26_96.jpg
