I typically try to build multiple kits of the same type at the same time in my "Iron Werke" style of building models. It works for me, as I believe it allows me to build more kits in a shorter time. This style of building is not everyone's cup of tea...
Now I am starting a group of several Focke Wulf 190 fighters. This one is in the mix.
It's the fairly new Hobby Boss version of the V-18 prototype. This one has a 4 blade propeller, and a radiator mounted under the fuselage, similar to how it was done with the American P-51 Mustang.
I have read where the kit provided exhaust system is routed incorrectly above the wing filet, since on the actual aircraft the exhaust pipes were mounted a little bit lower into the wing for a more streamlined look. I will do a little digging around to see if I have any pictures showing this area.
I will decide later on during the build if this exhaust system is something I want to alter, or just live with how the kit is.
Time will tell.
Please follow along as I once again fire up the "Iron Werke" assembly line, this time with a few Wurgers, and maybe a 109 or two tossed in for good measure (and to make Erik @airbum happy 😉
Each aircraft will have it's own build journal.
So far on this one I have painted the exhaust.
As always, comments are encouraged. Thanks !
