    Pedro, @holzhamer
This 109 of yours is already shaping up to be a real show stopper. Your painting abilities always impress me. I always learn something new when I read one of your postings. Thank you.

Really excellent work @holzhamer. I had never thought to do the preshading the way you did. The result is very effective! That's now filed away for use here.

Awesome results created by the pre-shading, Pedro @holzhamer
I definitely made a note of this as well, still have a 109E in stash and will for sure give it a try on that one.

After some final touch ups I began today painting the upper camouflage, starting with the lighter green, RLM 71. Tomorrow, after checking how the paint dried I’m hoping to add the 70 green.

Not sure if I have already add these pics or not, but the landing gear is also painted and prep. Only the wheels are stil to be completed.

As soon as the camouflage is complete the UC will be added and get the 109 on its feet

Your paintwork is great as always, Pedro @holzhamer
The landing gear and brake lines are beautiful as well.

    Time for a quick update!

After painting the black green and removed the masks it became visible just how different the black basing effect is on both colours. Also there are quite a few areas that need retouches from 71 or 70 so back to masking a bit more 😉

    Looking great, my friend @holzhamer!
Really amazing to notice the difference at the black basing effect: as it would be the case in reality.

    Thanks Spiros @fiveten
I do believe the effect turned out unbalanced. Perhaps I didn’t thin the RLM 71 enough or the 70 was a tad overdone :-/
Gonna try to get that all more even blended

    Absolutely great effect, Pedro @holzhamer
It is indeed difficult to find a correct balance, but to me it looks great already.

Sorry to be so far behind Pedro - I shall try to re-start mine in a few weeks, but life still interferes a lot with my bench-time. Your build looks splendid, and with the masking and re-painting I am certain it will be yet another @holzhamer winner!

    @airbum
Erik, no problem with the delay whatsoever, I’m sure you’ll catch up fast, even more since I’m building mine in a very, very slow pace, though I want to get him finished in a couple of weeks 😉

Been a month since I last posted any development of this splendid Wingsy kit.
    Here’s how it stands today

As you see a lot of sub components are to be added, though most is already panited and prep.
Some 60-70% of the decals are also applied over a gloss coat (all but the S shield and the comics come from the box, the latter from a Kagero decal sheet devoted to early JG.26 machines). The kit’s decals are pretty impressive once dried. No silvering and perfect conform to surface details.

Next- weathering (albeit very restrained! Remember this is a pre-war machine therefore kept in mint condition)

already looking great at this stage, Pedro @holzhamer
Agree on your upcoming weathering approach.

Wow @holzhamer! That paintwork and decaling looks excellent. You're really getting the most out of this one.
