    @tcinla, @johnb, @fiveten
    Thank you for the encouraging words!
    This kit is almost a wrap and will become 2021 #3 model. A poor year indeed for completed models, especially when I have several ongoing builds to be completed.
    I will take 2022 as a “production” mode for all those unfinished model on the side bench, and hope to make room for at least 2 new kits I just got for Xmas

    Anyway here’s how my E-1 is, some 98% completed

    The tail wheel snapped while spraying the gloss coat and you can see in the pic that it collapsed while taking the picture (That’s why it’s a lonely one photo update)
    I have a big issue not having good and available light to take some better pictures atm, I can tell you this photo does not do justice to the surface details and paintwork
    🙁

    Aerial cable, formation lights and a loose handle inside the canopy is all that remains adding. I will keep this model with a glossy finish since these pre-war machines were polished and well kept.
    Hope to get this Emil finished very soon and provided better lighting conditions I’ll post on the headlines

    @airbum- Erik, looking forward to see how your also turns out my friend

    @holzhamer - year, that tailwheel is the "Achilles' heel" of the Wingsy 109. I've reinforced mine with either CA glue around the leg, or using a spare Eduard 109 tailwheel.

    No arguing there Tom. All 109 E/F had a rather flimsy tail wheel and it’s easy to knock one off when you have clumsy fingers like I do.
    Since I plan to get their E-7 when it comes around I might get a resin replacement for that part

    Even in poor light conditions your build looks great, Pedro @holzhamer
    Maybe your modelling year was poor based on the amount of builds, the once you produced did look amazing.

    Just a note about a new aftermarket set for this kit - I got samples yesterday from the company Bits Krieg (they sell on eBay) - these are 3D printed seats for the Bf-109e, fitted for the Wingsy kits. They come in three versions: bare seat, seat with seatbelts nicely posed, seat with cushion and seatbelts posed. All three are excellent; I personally like version 3 myself. They will really dress up the Wingsy cockpit, since the seat is the one "lesser" item in the kit. You can Buy. In. Confidence.

    @tcinla Tom, funny you mention BitsKrieg cause I bought their fully “dressed” seat (with seat belts and back cushion) last month, thinking already of using it for Wingsy E-7 when it comes around. Meanwhile they already released a resin replacement for the exhaust stacks…and I might me wrong but I also read somewhere that a tail wheel is on the works. It will not be cheap but are worthy replacements.

    Btw, the seat is 3D printed, so a sharp fine cutter, steady hand and really good glasses are mandatory to prep it to use 😉

    Great result @holzhamer. It wouldn't matter how good the kit was, if a great modeler hadn't worked his magic with it.
