@gblair, @j-healy, @fiveten, @tcinla, thanks a lot all. Thus far I'm really enjoying this kit. Let's hope the final steps will be pleasant too.

Finally I was able to have a bit of bench time after my city trip to Rome. What a wonderful city this is with impressive structures left by the Romans, specially the Coloseum is an incredible work of art.

Back to the Fw190, after performing some paint corrections I started with the decals. A special decal sheet from PrintScale was provided by Bernard @lis. It was my first experience with this brand. The decals are very thin, which I was not used to, so starting was a bit troublesome. In the end they do lay down quite nicely with the help of Microset. The swastikas were in two halves and I did not succeed to get them overlayed nicely. Luckily I had a large sheet of swastikas for various aircraft which I used instead.

Remaining decals applied. Need to look which of the stencils I will use, quite a lot are available but very small in 1/72.

Decals look great on, my friend @johnb! Always a good question on how many of the stencils should be applied. My feeling is that, once in the field, after touch-ups, most would have been overpainted.

@fiveten, thank you, Spiros. I think I will add a few, the larger ones.

A fantastic paintjob, John @johnb! That camouflage is complex. Looking forward to seeing it with a matte coat! Interesting to read about the PrintScale decals, been looking into them on ebay.

Looks great John (@johnb). At that scale, you could probably get away with using a sharp colored pencil to simulate stencils.

@fxrob, thanks a lot, Felix. The PrintScale decals are very thin and not easy to handle, likely due to my clumsiness. When placed they do follow the surface nicely.
@clipper, thank you, Carl. That is a good idea, gonna try that.

@johnb, thanks for your feedback! I really like the paintjob- i don’t do Luftwaffe planes but their cameo schemes seem really tricky and your mottling is very nice!

Landing gear and propeller attached. The spiral decal was a real fight, still not perfect but I think it is acceptable this way.

Decals really are a nice contrast to the complex camo, John (@johnb). Your photo captures that "bird of prey" look that the 190 has. I used Print Scale several years ago and they were really thick, almost like the old Hasegawa decals. Interesting that they have gone too far the other way.

@gblair, @fiveten, thanks a lot. I was unable to lay down the spiral decal from PrintScale, when removed from the paper it folded in many directions. The current spiral is from the one provided by the kit.
