"An amazing website, and a great bunch of modelers that give me encouragement to build better models." @marq
Steady progress, Spiros @fiveten No signs of imperfections from the picture visible. The combination of primates and this futuristic aircraft is a bit weird.
Thanks my friend @johnb! Still haven't decided on the final camo... 🙂
Second coat of basic color applied...
This looks great, Spiros @fiveten Wondering to what your idea on the camo will be.
Thanks my friend @johnb! I am thinking of applying darker gray at an irregular manner only at the topsides, kind like the YF-23's experimental scheme below (the lighter shaded one)...
That would be a great scheme, Spiros @fiveten
Great masking, Spiros @fiveten
Thanks my friend @johnb! Though my first thoughts were to apply a top gray slightly darker than the base color, I am gradually leaning towards a darker shade, to kind of create a more dramatic effect...still have some "decision time" before kids go to bed... 🙂
Oh no, it got worms. . . gonna be interesting to see the whatif result my friend!
Thanks my friend @airbum! Here is the topside (extra dark sea) gray applied (with the leftover paint used as primer for the - begging to be restarted - Vautour-...talking about El Cheapo modeling... 🙂 )
Very nice camo color, Spiros @fiveten Great idea to use the leftover as a primer. Looking forward to that Sud Aviation Vautour as well.
Thanks my friend @johnb! My poor Vautour, tired of hearing bench space excuses and the like, is looking forward to be (re)tackled by yours truly, as well...:-)
Here she is, unmasked!
This is a perfect 'whatif' camo pattern, Spiros @fiveten.
