Here are some more images: I dry-fitted the gun. When the shell rack is finished, I will make the final assembly. Left then is some finishing work and figures.

    Happy modeling!

Did some kit bashing today, assembling a luftwaffe figure. The body is Zvezda, head and one of the hands is Hornet and Wolf (resin). Looks good, now the lucky strike in his hand in a "No Smoking" zone and it's complete!

    Happy modeling, Michel.

    A great addition, Michel @michel-verschuere
    Especially the cigarette.

    Looks superb, my friend @michel-verschuere!
Looks like "Rauchen verboten" is more advisory than obligatory: happens everywhere (don't ask me how I know!).

Haha @fiveten, I actually thought about asking you for this, I don't think of this weaponry too seriously when building it: It's a hobby. Right now I think of doing sth fun with figures around this model. Will keep u posted!

    Thanks @johnb for the appreciation!

    My friend @michel-verschuere:

Among the most interesting pics, there was this pre-1940 shot of three men pushing a prototype Spit that had completed its engine run-up, back to the Hangar: EVERYBODY had a cigarette in his mouth (a totally inappropriate behavior in today's politically correct days 🙂 🙂 ...) . It was published at the "Aeroplane" magazine, sometime around 1995-2000, wish I will find it...

Let's call it "The Interview". The Germans were really good in propaganda.
When war was becoming likely in 1939, Göring is reported to have said:
"Ich will Meier heißen, wenn auch nur ein Flugzeug über Berlin erscheint."

Eng: You can call me Meyer [instead of Göring] if even one [enemy] plane passes over Berlin.

And so the German population was invited during the war years to hear the news only from their "Volksempfänger", adopted to just accept one single station. They were told that Berlin was a Fortress protected by Flak and intercept squadrons impossible to reach alive as an allied aviator/bomber.

Of course, we know how that ended...

And so the numerous newsreels "Deutsche Wochenschau", featuring the high pitched voice of Harry Giese was co-directed by Mr Propaganda himself: Joseph Goebbels.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Goebbels
Here is an edition of the "Deutsche Wochenschau" from early in the war:

Why am I saying this: Because I wanted to give this build a lively setting, a bit out of the normal. So I decided to feature a Luftwaffe Helfer (with steel helmet) being filmed by a propaganda crew on the top of the Flak tower.

I managed to build the Plus Model resin camera, it looks vintage. The cameraman is a bashed version, most parts are from a MiniArt kit. Now I'm looking for a good looking assistant for him, any ideas who that should be?

    Happy modeling, Michel.
