    Getting into some weathering work- burnt umber wash on the panel lines of the sea blue, black panel wash on the lighter blue. White dot filter on the wings and some various fading/dirtying with oils.

    Did the chipping with a sharpened toothpick. I know these planes in the South Pacific were heavily weathered but I don't trust myself so I am going for a more moderate chipping/weathering approach. I should have used chipping fluid or hairspray to begin with but the toothpick was the next best choice.

    Leaving for a road trip on the 22nd this month so shooting to get everything wrapped up and final pictures posted by then!

    Great looking Corsair. I think the chipping looks correct for a ground-based USMC Corsair.
