as far as the ordnance is concerned, gonna add two 1000lb bombs to the inner racks, found some painted ones in the sparesbox
furthermore four smaller ones in total to the outer racks
still thinking of doing a scratchbuilt mount for a 2000lb bomb in the center...

found out, that the prop is molded the wrong way around, to say the backside of the blades looks forward, so, cut the blades off and glue them on the right way..

Nice catch with the propeller blades. The USN Blue looks good too. Have you decided about the scratch built center line mount yet ?

    Great looking stains, Reinhard @grimrepaer
Did you use a ligther shade of blue to get that effect?

    Reinhard, @grimreaper
It's amazing at how much of a change it makes by adding the engine and exhaust staining. I have tried airbrushing on exhaust stains, and sometimes I have ruined the underlying paint in doing so. Because of this, I have switched over to using the Tamiya weathering decks, and sometimes finely ground up chalk in different colors. I use a moist cotton Q-tip bud to apply it. This way if I don't like how it looks, I can wipe everything off and start over again without the fear of damaging the paint underneath. Once I am happy with the looks, I seal it using a clear coat.

Judging from the way the exhaust streaks look on your Dad's Skyraider, he is much better at painting exhaust than I am... by a long shot !

Looking good ! Keep it going. 🙂

used a light gray/smoke for the stains
Yes, spraying them is always a bit dangerous, happened to my dad too that you have overspray and it doesn´t look good anymore. As you can see, he applied them very softly and carefully. He usually uses the Tamiya weathering "make-up" sets too.
