Witht the engines completed, now to move on to assembling the nacelles.

The roof of the wheel bay, rear wall and forward edge of the wheel bay opening.

The LH/RH side wheel bay/engine nacelles.

The engine assy, main strut and assembled gear bay wall and roof is placed into the RH side of the nacelle, alignment is excellent. Then the LH side nacelle is mated to the RH side and glued in place. Good fit here.

The strut scissors is next attached to the strut.

Finally the side flap doors are attached in the open position.

All 4 panels installed both nacelles ready for the next step.

Now this is to assemble the wings.

Upper panel is 1 piece and only on this sprue does the nubs are well into the wing panel and have to be carefully removed from the sprue, I ended up messing one up a bit with a chunk being removed from the back edge of the LH rear upper wing panel

Before assembling the lower panels and then install the nacelles. Check the fit to the fuselage.

There is another stub to remove from the leading edge of where the nacelle fits into, a critical point where this needs to be even and able to attach properly. Though it is still a rough fit. Will get to that later.

The RH outer lower wing panel with the insert opening for the optional choice of panels that are placed into the opening.

One of two lamp lenses that fit into the lower wing panel.

The lower inner wing panel is installed.

Despite being careful one side is a good fit, the other has a gap. Both nacelles are installed and cemented in place.

The RH lower outer wing panel is installed as well as the insert, I will be using the non dive brake option. No bomb racks.

With both wing lower wing panels installed, it is a wonder how careful you are and still get some pretty good gaps on one side, the other side has a better fit.

Looks a putty party will have to commence. A view of the top will again show a good gap on the RH wing to fuselage contact point. The LH side is ok.

Being my first Xutong kit, I went ahead to install the main gear struts. Normally a process towards the final stages of the build, but their building process didnt seem to allow me to wait in this case, so now with the wings assembled and the nacelles installed. Struts are as well. Less the wheel and wheel forks. Those will be normally attached towards the end.

Before moving on I went ahead and installed the landing gear retracting actuators.

Next seam work and lots of it.

    More to follow.

Quite some corrections to be made, Chuck @uscusn
Pretty sure you will get that done nicely.
Those stubs on the sprues are indeed huge ones.

Thanks John, a few and then some. But that is part of the fun. Now to stay patient and continue.

This session is to assemble the multi panel cowlings the kit supplies. Starting with the upper intake panel and scoop.

First to attach the leading intake lip panels to the scoops.

Next is to attach it to the top of the engine. I just place it there as I work around adding the other panels.

The LH outer panel surprisingly fits as the exhuast stack slips through the opening without fuss.

The RH side panel as well though not perfect as some adjustment to settle each panel in place before gluing them in place. Work will be needed to make them fit better. Though for the most part they fit with some adjustment and cleanup. Frankly it was expected,

    ]

The forward cowlings, are next and these do not fit well and will need tender loving care to get them to look better in the end. These panels had the side bulges removed. This variant has the smooth enging cowlings.

The cowl ring is next and really have to play around with it to get it to look even all around, but it does keep everything in place once they set. Whew, a lot of work here.

The LH side engine cowling process is done now to work on the RH side. Hope it will be a bit better now that got some experience working on the LH side.

Now to start on the LH side cowlings. yippee!

About an hour and the RH side is completed. The result is a bit better than the LH side.

That was fun, as we start on the next step.

Thanks John & Spiros, that was not such an easy task, with a kit that is not fitting well yet manageable.

Some sub assy work, first the replacement resin wheels are removed from the packagaging and the mold block removed.

A bit better in details and weighted tire to slightly enhance the finished model once installed.

Next the rear ward upper gun ring mount is to be assembled.

The gun ring installed into the rear gunners compartment. Will attatch the gun in the next step.

The rear compartment glass panel is installed next. Fit is much better here compared to the cockpit glass. Very clear view into the interior.

Finally the elevators are installed and will be deployed in the down position.

next the to install the last glass pieces, then masking time

I found I needed to sand down those support rings in the engine and cowling, and sand a bit off the heads of the cylinders. Not much, but that tight fit needed all the help they could get.
