@fiveten, that is a hairy guard for a metallic paint. . . (but at least ColinG has showed it is repairable if the guard takes the duty too close to the object)

Always a joy to get to the basic paint done my friend - and nice to see progress on the Vatour is there too! It appears the overstress on the C-47 has been mended just fine.

    Thanks, my friend @airbum!
Who could imagine QC/2 would have attempted supersonic flight with the C-47 in a dive?
All things are back to normal now, though I can see him judiciously looking at the Shinden...

After a coat of Future (to protect the silver from whatever further manipulation), black paint was applied at the deicing boots, the antiglare panel and the back portion under the horizontal stabilizer.
    Touchups will inevitably follow.

    Spiros, @fiveten

Your C-47 looks fantastic wearing it's nice shiny silver paint. The leading edge deicing boots also looks great. I don't blame you for letting it sit for a while to dry... Fingerprints always seem to find their way on the surfaces, ruining our wonderful work. Letting the paint fully cure will help keep this from happening.

I'll be looking forward to seeing another update in a few days... allowing ample time for the paint to fully cure.

    Stay safe my friend.

Thanks my friend Louis @lgardner! I am off to bed now, with "Aces of the Rising Sun" with me, reading until tireness beats me.
    Stay safe my friend, too.

Prioritization sadly affected my C-47, but here she is again for an update:

Touched up with a 10/0 brush all deicing boots borders, antiglare panel and the black aft part.

A second microtouchup session will be required.

That is aviation for you my friend - hurry up and wait! But all things good come to those who wait, and better to do what you are in tune with today rather than think that you HAVE to do something on that build now. That is the real beauty of having a lot of builds going at the same time - right?

I shall be looking forward to whatever comes next my friend!

    Exactly right, my friend @airbum!
And it is an absolute beauty tohav multiple builds going on together!

    Spiros, @fiveten
Your C-47 is looking even better with the touch up work done. Like you, I have multiple builds going on at the same time. It actually works out good, as this method allows your paint work to dry thoroughly as there's no need to rush on things. That's how I always end up messing something up...

You always have something else to do. Usually I will work on the model I feel some "mojo" for at the time. Sounds a bit odd, but it works for me...

I too shall be watching and waiting for the next installment.

    Thanks my friend Louis @lgardner!

I work with that "mojo" guidance too - and it's great!

I have decided to have at least one entry to everyone of those amazing GBs here and, also, one resin and one vac in progress. In practice this may mean 7-8 models in work, which is totally controllable.

I used to think that having multiple builds may detract the modeler and slow him down; in fact, the opposite is true: leaving the model aside to cure is a necessary action, for the model actually, but for the mind, too! You just relax and take some distance, working at another project. The mind (my crazy mind, at least -lol-, needs this distance to ease and return with renowned interest...OK, end of blahblah!

Thnks for following along, more to come soon!

The silver finish on your C-47 look terrific, Spiros (@fiveten). It will look awesome with the blue decals on it. I never do all-metal schemes, but I may have to try one after seeing how good yours looks.

Thanks a lot, George @gblair! I think you should try all-metal!,
Since your other skills, including microdetailing, are excellent, I can definitely state that you will do excellent all-metals as well!
The fact that my C-47 might be your sparkling inspiration, makes me double happy!

Spiros what an excellent finish on your Dakota. A difficult finish to get perfect. Different approach in sanding and seamwork and eliminating the sanding marks and scratches. Too me, 72nd scale is a bit more difficult to get a great finish. In reality any scale. Extra care and patience leads to an excellent result.

Thank you very much Chuck @uscusn! I am eager to decal her, still some detailed painting to be done.
