    Hi everyone!

Painted the front circular part of the cowling French Blue (still need two small blue triangles to be painted at the outer part of them - also, touchups ARE desperately needed, as the blue has sllipped at places under the masking tape.

I also performed the decalling. The basic decal sheet was made by Cartograf, meaning excellency. The numbers and wing walkways were made from my spare decals.

next step is alittle more decallling and touching up, before standing on her feet!

Tantalizingly close to finished and looking great, Spiros. I love this stage of building and sometimes end up delaying the end trying to get every final detail right. Group builds and model shows are the best push to conclude. Can't wait to see this one "on her feet."

There is nothing that looks better than a C-47 with a well-done paint scheme, and you have nailed it, Spiros (@fiveten). The decals have gone on flawlessly. I am still amazed by the natural metal finish you got with basic Humbrol. Who knew?

    My Friends:

Marcus @mvtb, Thanks! It's a Greek scheme not often seen and one I find it very cute indeed!

Allan @kalamazoo, Thanks! "Good Old Humbrol" 11 still sticks well!

Robert @roofrat, Thanks! And may I say I love your jobs too!

Colin @coling, Thanks! I also love this stage of microdetailing and microfixing. The best part is this "best push" you so precisely stated above, that emerges from those great "socialized" modelling activities, such as the GBs here. I have to confess that I am more than eager (l am like an excited child) to do a small or not so small modeling progress, whatever that might be, take pics and present it to you, my friends here. Having to present it to You, means that I am motivated to (must) do the "best job I can do for the given circumstances". This IS "best push" indeed!

George @gblair, Thanks! I had developed a small affection to this scheme, and I was so happy to find the basic decals for it. The "Korean" GB was the spark. Basic Humbrol 11 and yours truly are buddies for decades now. It is something like the situation in many couples that are married for many decades: all "youth" issues having been addressed, and only the joy of coexistence remaining (well, I'm new to marriage with VERY young children, but hope to go this road!).

    Hi everyone!
    Another update:
I am in the process of endless microtouchups loops, as all those black and blue details "need their attention". I will stop, when I will feel the result is presentable.

Installed the main landing gear, glue curing.

I also flattened the tyres a bit, as I think they look more natural at the C-47.
All the best to this great GB!

Mocrotouchups finished (blue around the engine intakes was last).

Antenna time will be next (and there are quite a few of them with interesting wiring...)

Your C-47 is looking awesome, Spiros (@fiveten), but watch the left landing gear, which is precariously close to the edge! The engines and the blue cowlings are perfect. Is that a Vautour sitting next to the Gooney?

Coming along nicely Spiros, a model looks much better with the correct tyre pressure !
