While I have the paints out for the Hurricane build I thought I'd finally pull this one off the stash.

    Out of the Box... probably...LOL

    Plan on this scheme.

Dear Gary @gwskat, great choice! I love Spits with black and white underbellies. Looking forward to seeing the progress! Speaking of stashes, how large is yours? 🙂

    Hey Felix.

That could be construde as a personal type question...LOL 🤣

My kit quantity is approx 175. Various figures and aftermarkets...not sure. Recently I finally made a spreadsheet and I also registered with Scalemates. Scalemates is such a great website. I've been using it for research, for years but finally took advantage of the stash option. At this time I only have my kits listed.

    Dear Gary @gwskat
Sorry if the question was too intimate! 🙂 Mine is down to about 16, 17. I have made it a priority to reduce it this year, it peaked at around 40, but those were all big aeroplane kits. I have tons of masking sets. I like scalemates a lot, although i still struggle with understanding the difference between a project and an album, haha. Guess i am getting old!

No need to be sorry... Just my sense of dry humor. @fxrob

For me, my buying well outpaces my building, which makes it hard to keep the pile from getting bigger. But I guess that's a part of the hobby.

Gary @gwskat, i like your sense of humor 🙂
There's so many kits i want to buy - i really struggle restraining myself sometimes. One way to limit compulsive shopping is limiting myself to Airfix kits. Which does not really help since i love RAF planes and topics, haha.

Looking forward to your early Spitfire, gary (@gwskat). I have heard this is a good kit. I have one buried in the garage somewhere, so you may be inspiring to clean my garage, as well as build this kit.

I like your choice here ! Like George, I have a few of these in "Ye Olde Stash", and will be looking forward to seeing this one come to life in front of us. Going from memory, (so this might not be a factual statement), the only thing I have heard negative about this kit is the wind screen and possible problem with gluing the armored glass in place. I will definitely have to do some more digging to confirm this however.

Please post up everything... The Good, the bad, and the ugly. Go ahead, make my day ! I couldn't resist getting in a little Clint Eastwood humor.

I'm certain this one will have far more good than anything else. I too may break out one of these as a future project.

Completed the cockpit and buttoned up the fuselage.

All parts assembled without any issues.

Used the kit paint callouts, painted with AK RC RAF Grey-Green. Details with Vallejo Black-Grey and Khaki and various paint markers.
Instrument panel is kit part with kit decal instruments. I did get some a wee bit off from the bezels.
Accented the assemblies with artist oil and highlighted with a graphite pencil and Tamiya gunmetal pastel.

    Pics are not the greatest:

I’m going to agree with everyone above. Your Spitfire is definitely looking great. I’m especially impressed with the cockpit. The seat harness is the best.

I’m looking forward to your next installment.
