Awesome result, my friend @gblair! Turned out really wonderful, looking 1:1! Looking forward to see it at the headlines and, please, let me express my sincere thanks for participating to our lovely Motorcycles Group with such a complex kit that you tackled with your usual excellent skills!
    Congratulations!

Thanks, John (@johnb) and Spiros (@fiveten). The weathering is done, so I just need to take the photos and post to Headlines. Thanks for asking me to join the Motorcycle Group. Although I knew nothing about motorcycles and had never built one, it was really fun to build a motorcycle. I enjoy participating in groups that are out of my comfort zone because it forces me to build things that I wouldn't normally build. I always learn new things and I have a new appreciation for modelers who build things like motorcycles, which are easily as complex as any airplane I have built. Now that I have finished the BMW, I think it is time to move on to a Sea Fury for the Hawker Group. Cheers.

Thanks for the information about the Deluxe Materials catalog. I will definitely look into this as it sounds like they offer some very nice stuff that would be useful during a build.

I just took a close look at your last pictures. I am very impressed with your BMW. I found it interesting that BMW also added one of their circular BMW logos on the fender for the sidecar wheel. The rest of the maintenance stencils, data tags, and especially the seat tag really push this one over the top.

The weathering and dirt you added look spot on too. I look forward to seeing it in the headlines section soon. You really fooled me as far as this being your first motorcycle model. It looks as if you have been building them for years. Well done !

Now I'll bet you are ready to build a Hawker plane now. 😉

Thanks, Louis (@lgardner). This was a fun one and I just posted it in Headlines. I cleaned up my workbench, dug out everything I need to build a 1/48 Airfix Hawker Sea Fury, and I am ready to get started. I am thinking about the overall dark blue scheme that the Australians used. It will be nice to get back to an airplane.

I'm headed over there now to check it out. I have always been partial to the Dark Grey over 'Sky" Korean War era paint scheme they used on the Sea Fury too. I'm sure it will look great, as all of your builds do.

I'll be sure to follow along on that build too.
    Thanks.

I'm really impressed by the result, especially since this is your first ever motorcycle.
