That's a lot of minutes John! This hobby definitely requires patience.

Wheel and mudguard mounted, meaning that the swingarm is finished.
    Left side,

    Right side,

I did notice however that my frame and swingarm do have a too dark silver color, not sure if it will be noticable in the end but it will be undoable to repaint it now.

Looks great, John (@johnb). I think the silver color is fine. The slick tires are cool.

All looking great for me as well, including the aforementioned silver color, my friend @johnb!

That silver colour looks fine to me, @johnb, as does the rest of your work on the rear swing arm, especially the drilled out brake disc.

@gblair, thanks, George. I'm always impressed by the detailing of those motorcycle kits.

@fiveten, thank you, Spiros. Likely in the end the difference will be barely visible.

@chinesegeorge, thanks a lot, George. How do you usualy apply a clear coat on your builds, when everything is set together or after finishing several part?

@kalamazoo, thank you, Allan. It took some time to get it done, but the disk brake does look much better this way. A good thing that Tamiya pre-molded the locations of the holes.

Swingarm is now attached to the frame. Just a bit of fiddling but in the end it fits perfectly.

Bought myself a silver pen from Pilot to paint some small parts, to me the shiny effect is not that bad. Maybe comparable to the Molotow chrome pen.

Great progress, my friend @johnb! I use the same pen for small parts, even painting the oleos of landing gears and I also believe the result is good, the only remark being that painted parts are very sensitive if touched by hand (paint fades away).

@fiveten, thanks a lot, Spiros. Indeed, the siver pen paint is very sensitive once applied. Mainly suitable for smaller parts.

Hi, @johnb, if I’m clear coating I usually do it during the build when each component is finished, e.g. I would have probably given the rear swing arm a gloss coat before attaching the rear wheel. However, I don’t think there are any strict rules, but trying to gloss coat when the model is completely finished wouldn’t be feasible as there are too many components that don’t need glossing. Hope this helps. You’re making great progress with this.

@chinesegeorge, thanks, George. Exactly what I thought as well. Currently I clear coated the swing arm and frame seperately and it seems to be much easier this way instead of applying clear coat at the end.

Exhaust, or should I say a spaghetti of tubes, is set together and painted in titanium silver. I used an own mixture of silver with a drop of yellow.

The exhaust looks great, my friend @johnb! Gteat way to create the titanium shade!
    Love the badge pin 😉
