Thanks Spiros and John, black can be quite tricky. Each aircraft unique in appearance, wear and tear and the environment they are operating.

Thanks Spiros and John, the kit decals performed ok. Couldn't find aftermarket sets for the V-tail. So settled on the Bambi scheme. Not that had any other scheme to choose.

Thanks Louis another Tam kit build that was quite as the normal Tam kit usually is. 2 Beau Tam Beaus down, one more to go.

Tom, black is always a challenge. Each subject is different, environment, time frame, wear and tear. And yet still a learning curve to achieve for the next one.

Next up is to remove the masks. First with the landing light on the LH wing leading edge and the canopy.

The canopy is crystal clear and a great view into the cockpit.

The porcupine exhaust are assembled and painted Pale Burnt Metal.

Then are attached to the RH side of each engine nacelles.

Next up is the tail wheel. Tire is painted Testors Rubber. Then attached into tail wheel bay.

Next is a set of Cooper resin weighted tires and wheels to be used on this Beaufighter.

Nice set of wheels featuring tread less tires.

The wheel is painted Vallejo Aluminum.

Masked off and the tires painted Testors Rubber as well.

Next is too assemble the main gear struts.

The lower set of struts are painted Sky Grey, though it looks a bit too bluish. The upper section is RAF interior Grey Green as well as the wheel bay insert.

Then the whole wheel bay assembly is inserted into each wheel bay nacelle housing. Tamiya really makes this quite an easy and well secure solid assembly that will last the life of the model on the shelf.

The main gear assembly completed before being installed into the nacelle.

Now the Beau can sit on the gear legs before the wheels are installed.

Now time to snap in the wheels. A gentle push and the click into place and will spin.

Next up is to attach the gear bay doors, antennas, and the props.

The tires are a beautiful addition.

Now time to install the gear bay doors. Again a very nice approach by Tamiya with the doors have positive attachment points to allow them to be opened at the correct angle.

Outer panels Tamiya Flat Black and the interior is Mission Models RAF Int Grey/Green

All 4 doors are attached and the fit is excellent.

Back on her feet.

Time to paint the props. Flat Black, Yellow Tips, Aluminum prop hubs.

Then pressed into the poly caps in the engines.

The wing tip ID lamps.

A dab of Clear Red and Clear Green on each lens before attaching them to the wing tips. Just love how Tamiya clear parts fit very well, pretty much exact.

Next is the pilots hatch is installed to the canopy.

Finally the antennas. One on the nose 2 on each wing.

Careful on the wing mounted antennae as they are handed and are inner and outer.

Finally the nose antenna is the final piece and it is finished. Yes I did forget to drill the hole before installing the nose.
