    To me the push pin is new, likely introduced during my (too long) absence in modelling.
    The fitting looks great indeed, from the pictures I would say that the nacelles fit fine as well.

    Hi john, the first kit so far to use the push pin up to the Mosquito was used on the Betty.
    Thanks Spiros, it is a great tool to use.

    Going to bypass the landing gear step for now, and start work on the cockpit.. Starting with the instrument panel.


    The instrument panel has the highlights to allow a decal to be applied for the instruments and gauges.

    Will use the Eduard's zoom set instead to enhance the IP. First sanding the details off.

    The first panel is applied over the panel.

    Using Testor's clear cement I then overlay the top panel cover over the base.

    Next to assemble the radar set used on this version, which flew night missions.

    Then the set is attached to the right of the IP.

    Then the view face cone is then attached, to the set.

    Next more work on the interior,

    John, prefer this over decals instruments. Besides I just don't have that steady hand and sharp eyes.

    Continuing on with the forward cockpit flight deck.


    The forward bulkhead and pedals.

    Attaching the pedals to the bulkhead.

    Next is an electronic component. This attaches to the RH lower side.

    The flight deck floor. Painting the cushion

    Next IP is installed to the forward bulkhead. The electrical devices are painted black.

    The base of the control is painted NATO black, And given a bit of a wash.

    The forward bulkhead is installed to the floor.

    Now into the gun compartment, the shell dispensers are attached to the front side of the forward cockpit bulkhead.

    Next up the set of cannons are next attached under the magazines.

    Test fitting the LH side forward fuselage nose panel. So far it is aligned properly.

    The trim wheel is then attached to the notch on the LH side floor.

    2 pieces make up the control column.

    Then installed in place on the floor.

    Next up is to assemble the rear deck and radio sets.

    Thanks Pedro, always enjoy building something new. As many others have done before me how great of a build the Tam Mossie is. And the added details compared to their previous multi engine planes, ie Dinah, Beaufighter series interior wise.

    Thanks John and Spiros, a bit more details are provided on the Mossie including within the bomb bay. Nice touch and attention to detail.

    Thanks Lis, the Mossie is right up there with one of my favorite WWII planes, still the Lightning is a step ahead,

    Next is to work on the bomb bay section.

    The bomb bay roof contains the fuel tanks. These are painted a red brown primer. The rest of the bay is RAF interior Grey Green.

    Tamiya provides a very well designed wing spar. Not only to help set the dihedral. but also a set of locking points to allow the wings to slip on and pins are inserted to keep them in place if you wish to allow the wings to be removed after the model is completed.

    The spar is then attached to the Bomb bay roof panel.

    The lower bulkhead is then attached at the leading edge of the bay roof.

    Next is to paint the fuel tanks straps. Detail the latches and fasteners and a wash to enhance the details.

    Next is to work on radio shelf and rear deck. Which also contains the lower navigator seat cushion.

    The cushion is painted Brown. As well as the upper seat back.

    The upper seat back is then attached to the rear deck shelf.
