Having been wanting to build another SEPL (Single-engine, Piston, Land) in airliner colors (my first was the Grønlandsfly Cessna 172, actually also a remote SAS-connection) for some time, now is the time to get this one started as a long term project.

LN-decals has some nice decals in 1/48 and 1/32 on the same sheet, so if anyone are up for a 1/32 version, they are up for grabs - PM me.

Perhaps they can also be modified to fit other small singles if anyone wants to make the SAS Cessna 172?

The kit will be the Minicraft Piper Super Cub as it is the only game in town at present as far as I know.

One advantage of this "airliner" is that it is already a taildragger, so no clumsy counterweight is needed 🙂

I have a few kits in line but hope to get this one started soon

Here we go @fiveten and @johnb

    Let the party commence

Today I washed a bunch of kits, and decided to get this one rolling

The kit is not cheap, but rather simple short run tech. Parts are few, so should be fast – except for all the cleanup and probably some degree of scratchbuilding.

    Lots of flash!

Started with the wings as they need to be cleaned up

and the engine got some TLC too. I will have to check how it lines up once installed, as it will be dictating the spinner/prop position.

Should be fast to assemble, but slow to correct – tune in again later.
