About this Group
To celebrate some of the oldest airlines in existence, DDL, DNL and ABA (SILA), that were connected through the creation of Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) we start this rather civil group build.
Any project that has not been finished may join, as long as you can describe a connection to SAS, be it Airliners, Cars, Figures, Carts, Office furniture - you decide!
The group will run a full year, so anything that has been started as of August 1st 2022 will be permitted to join the fun here.
It is encouraged to post in-progress posts in the GB, but if you prefer a single post with a few in-progress pictures and a brief description will do.
UPDATE
as SAS is struggling to survive these days I have decided to extend a full year. New last entry-date is now August 1st 2023 in the hope that SAS will survive the next year.
To sum up;
- no already finished projects
- any connection to SAS that can be proven will be accepted.
- admin's decisions are final.
- your build has to be started before August 1st 2022 NEW DATE: August 1st 2023!
- have fun - we are not here to compete
- tag your postings SAS75 - also in headlines when you are finished

As it is stalled for too long, this thread will be continued through the Stalled GB... (link)

Thanks for running this wonderful GB, my friend @airbum! I will try to get back to my DC-6 quickly, otherwise I will transfer it elsewhere.

A huge thank you to all that have taken part in this little Scandinavian celebration. Could you please get your entries finished, or if needed transfer them to other relevant groups. Thank you
-
Thanks gents I hope to be able to work a little more on this one through the summer here.
-
Looking good, Erik. Lots of great detail in this kit.

Erik (@airbum): I totally missed the start of this build. DC-4s, along with DC-6s, C-54s, etc are some of my favorite planes. I have 3 of these models, unbuilt. Glad you are leading the way through the mis-instructions.

Great progress, Erik @airbum Using all the space available to add some extra weight is the best approach. Cleaning out the bench will help to create extra space, but from experience I can say that this is only temporary.
-
This is a lovely, alive and productive bench, my friend @airbum!

Hi Eric - I posted at the same time as you. However it is indeed a bit of a struggle. The basics look very good, but it is marred by some flash, and I shall have to check before committing to glue for the rest of […]

It is indeed a big plane @chinesegeorge! It only just fits in my display cabinet – except I’m out of room and need to get another. True @fiveten, and I have stuffed some in under the cockpit by now, but […]

Nothing like a bit of progress, Erik @airbum. I've read some complaints about this kit. Mostly that it's a bit of a difficult build, fit problems and mistakes in the instructions. What do you say or is it too early to tell?
-
It must be a big old plane to use all that primer, @airbum.
-
That's some great progress, my friend @airbum! I agree on using all the space provided to add weight, better safe than sorry. Great catch on the oil coolers! (Copied). Looking forward to your progress!

@eb801, @chinesegeorge, @johnb and @fiveten, another update in this “secret” build. First off, I assemble the nosewheel! I think I shall also install the lot under the cockpit as the cockpit can […]

Nice progress indeed, Erik @airbum

A great progress it is, my friend @airbum!

Every bit of progress seem like just a small bit due to the amount of plastic in the kit @fiveten and @johnb. But progress it is 🙂 That turned out to be the intakes. They have some nice places to […]

@kalamazoo, thank you, Allan. No weathering on this subject 🙂 .

Well done John, nice clean finish.
