A coat of dark grey enamel on the middle, more of those seams showing through, sanded and masked for more painting.

    Looking great, my friend @kalamazoo!
The open ramp adds a lot to the looks!

    Very nice, Allan @kalamazoo
Window edge are not the easiest areas to clean up.
The open cargo door is excellent.

Model looks great, Allan (@kalamazoo). I like the rippled demarcation near the ramp. The ramp area has a very familiar feel to it. Having flown C-141s for 20 years, I can tell you that the ramp area of most of these cargo planes all look the same. I have logged a lot of time sitting on the plane's ramp playing hurry up and wait.

Masking everything means "better safe than sorry", my friend @kalamazoo!
I usually mask only "locally", typically regretting it later on as overspray occurs!

Indeed the safest way prior to local painting, Allan @kalamazoo
I should do tis way of masking also more often, just to be on the safe side.

plastic bags make it easier than wrapping in paper as I used to do it, I knocked it against my light and broke the port tail plane off, the other one was weak so it's off as well, will drill and pin the hinges.

    Great paint result, Allan @kalamazoo
Pity about the hinges broke off, but I'm sure you will get it fixed.

Well, sometimes it is refreshing to take a break. Sometimes a long break. Paint and glue will have cured when you get back to the build, making a lot of things easier - right?
