Painting stand = 1/2" ply with 3/32" stainless steel wire in undercarriage mounting holes, a coat of Humbrol new 11, looks a bit grainy, not sure I like it !

Hu11 looks very nice from here, my friend @kalamazoo! Though non buffable, I recently went on and gently buffed a Hu11 enamel coated model with a soft cloth (one of my -not any more 🙂 - vests): to my amazement, it buffed perfectly, went smooth and shiny, grain phenomenon practically disappeared!

It is slightly visible, Allan @kalamazoo, though it looks pretty nice.
A polishing session like described by Spiros @fiveten might do the trick.

Thank you Spiros, will try this next time, too late for this one, --------
    Thanks John, ------------
A coat of Tamiya X22 on now, not so grainy looking but a bit greyish, looks more silver than 56 but not as much as 191, maybe I need to mix my own, or go with 191 !

On a solo picture it looks fine from here, Allan @kalamazoo
Only when comparing, the difference is noticeable.
With the decals on I think it will look perfect.
