    Hi everyone!

A couple of weeks ago the postman left a box in my doorstep. It was sent from The Netherlands by my good friend @johnb. Upon opening the box, apart from many Dutch delicatessen (most which were consumed immediately by my sons 😁) and other goodies, there was this kit inside...

I have an affection for older, classic kits, so I immediately fell in love...

I wanted to start it as soon as possible and finish it as the boxart Dutch commemorative bird. The first part I succeeded in, the second not really, as my sons wanted to finish it as a Hellenic bird. Oh well πŸ™‚

Here are the kit contents, a very nice kit actually...

Started it tonight, here is the progress so far... More to come!

The pleasure was all mine to be able to sent it to you, Spiros @fiveten
Looking forward to see it in full Greek scheme.
A great start already on this beautiful aircraft.

What a great and unexpected gift, Spiros (@fiveten). F-5s are really cool and this one looks like it will build into a nice replica. Very small in 1/72, but will look great when you are done.

    Very nice progress, Spiros @fiveten
Looking forward to that Greek camouflage scheme.
Will it be a uniform color or multi color scheme?

Thanks my friend @johnb! It will be a silver bird. Luckily, all landing gear, bays and even the airbrakes bay will be silver, so painting will be a bteeze!

Following with great interest, Spiros @fiveten. Remember looking at this kit as a youngster in the 80ies. The clothes hanger is a nice idea, btwπŸ™‚ Also, getting sweets from the Netherlands must be nice, did you enclose my beloved Hagelslag John @johnb? πŸ™‚

Already looks cool in its aluminum paint, Spiros (@fiveten). Hanger is a cool idea. I think we replaced all of ours with plastic hangers, so I can't copy your idea. When I was in pilot training at Williams AFB in 1976, there was a detachment of F-5s at the base. Always gave us inspiration to get through pilot training.

The silver looks really good at this F5, Spiros @fiveten
@fxrob, hagelslag was unfortunately not enclosed, Felix. But a good idea to enclose it with the next shipment πŸ™‚

Thanks so much, my friends @fxrob, @gblair and @johnb! The modified hanger is a good idea, has saved my day a few times, especially when painting the whole model with a single color. Needs some attention , though, as not so few times the model can drop, accompanied with graphic language πŸ˜„
