I love the way an oil wash brings out the details, Reinhard @grimreaper. Getting close to the end.

forced pause close o the finish line...

The one piece canopy to fuselage fit wasn´t good, slightly like a rocker. My dad did some sanding and bending but it didn´really help. Then he cut the rear part off (still masks on) and it was much better fit. After removing the masks he saw that there were two deep cracks in the rear part, most probably due to the bending attempts...so I already ordered a 3-piece vacu canopy with masks, made by Dead Design

Sorry about the canopy problems, Reinhard (@grimreaper). The canopy is one of the parts in a kit that you can't replace by scratchbuilding. Glad someone had a replacement.

Good luck with the new canopy, Reinhard (@grimreaper). I have never had any luck using a vac canopy. I am sure your Dad will have better luck than I do.

decided to use only the rear vacu canopy, the rest is from the other canopy in the kit, which has the mostly closed rear part

front part of the two different canopies is identical, the sliding canopy of the other more closed rear canopy type has a slightly more narrow upper frame, but in the end you don´t really recognize that
