Allan, grabbing this “blast from the past” takes courage, but it seems you have it going smoothly. Are the decals from 1988 also?
Thank you Pedro, yes original decals, will replace some with paint and check these for quality !
Instrument panel decal in with no problems and some paint on the rotors, also a tail rotor from another build !
The canopy on with Pledge and a bit of Testors cpc to fill some gaps !
Some paint on the canopy and the rotor unmasked !
Nice looking Cobra Allan ! Somehow it managed to fly under my radar... I just noticed it. When I was a kid, I built the exact same model. They came as a pair of Cobra's in the box, (and it was the Monogram box). I'm pretty sure it would have been from 1977... This was what I wanted to fly ! Sadly it didn't happen... my left eye kept me out of flight school...
I just found it over at Scalemates... It was released 1973. The boxing was Monogram kit #6839, and two models were in the same box. This also reminded me of the larger 1/32 scale Cobra I built as a kid that was a Revell kit.
Thanks Louis, only one kit in the 1988 boxing !
Tail-plane and wings added with a bit of touching up under the nose !
Starting to take shape
Thanks Pedro, getting there !
