    Beautiful steps made, Marcus @mvtb
With a tube called "Perfect Plastic", you should be good to go.
Never heard about this, what is your experience with it.

    Thanks to you all.

John,it is water based, and works fine for me.One just has to be careful on small scratches,so I usually sand with a 800 and finer sanding sponges.

It's still pretty hard to beat this kit, 28 years after it was first released. But I think it's going to be beaten in June when Somebody Else brings out their F4F-4 (after bringing out the F4F-3 before).

    Nice work as usual.

Tks Tom.Has some but sold them all,Eduard in sight.

The most annoying in this kit is the drop tanks holes amidst those rivets, for the Wildcat at this time didn´t have them as I understand...

Now both the Light Gray and Blue Gray have been applied...then it is time to mask the rudder and paint the red stripes, besides correcting some overspray here and there...

This looks really good. The one thing is you have an "F4F-3" camo pattern. The F4F-4 is low, along the line of rivets below the wing trailing edge, and the upper color is under the tail. The foprward camp line is also low - about midpoint on the wheel well.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks guys!

Already have painted the stripped rudder, but no pics as of yet...

    Tom,

thanks for the always useful hints - the camo is based on the pictures in the beginning of this article, and, indeed, that´s why I chose this camo for being non-standard on the "4" variant! The standard ones will be on the Eduard´s Wildcats I do intend to order! All the best my friend!

Lis,both colors Gunze Aqueous (Gloss),dilluted with Isopropyl Alcohol...all the best!
