Hey everyone,
I have the Hasegawa 1/350 Akagi entering my stash and would like to go ahead and secure the PE for it. I am having a challenging time locating the “Hasegawa 40071 Akagi Detail Up Super set” and was curious if anyone knew of a way to track it down.
There is 1 listed for $600 on EBay, which is beyond any reasonable amount I would be willing to pay lol.

Did some small net research and, as, possibly, you have discovered, it is discontinued and a rarity to find, hence the astronomical prices asked, my friend @greenterrorz. Hope some better news turn out.
That is an excessive amount of money, Keith @greenterrorz Have you tried contacting Hasegawa, they might direct you in the right direction to find one.
@fiveten @johnb thank you both for responding. I’ve decided to go with a few other PE options that will be a similar quality to that one. Hasegawa has “basic” PE which I will purchase and Eduard does as well
