After priming some places need sanding to be smooth.

    Primer reveals all, Bernard @lis
Although to me your Mosquito looks quite smooth already.

@fiveten @johnb I was wondering if maybe it would be better to do a painting other than NMF, taking into account some shortcomings of the kit when it comes to connecting fuselage and engine cover halves. Color usually hides shortcomings. The decal sheet gives you several options, e.g. a uniform painting in Foliage Green.

Primer always reveals the slightest imperfections, my friend @lis. Your Mosquito looks really nice. going for another then NMF scheme is totally up to you, all schemes depicted at the decal sheet are excellent. Truth is that a non-NMF scheme will be more forgiving to surface imperfections. Your choice.

I always admire people in creating an NMF model, Bernard @lis
A non-NMF camouflage scheme will look great, but for sure you can create a beautiful NMF Mosquito as well, the choice is all yours

@fiveten @johnb After light polishing by Tamiya polishig compound. To my surprise, the left wing was still not completely dry as far as its attachment was concerned, which surprised me greatly. The Tamiya model is apparently more labor intensive than I initially thought.

Time plays a very important role, Bernard @lis
Weird indeed that it did not cure fully yet, give it some more time to cure entirely.

@johnb I suspect that my extra thin glue has weathered and does not stick well. doesn't want to dry out.

Once in a while it seems that no matter what we do, a model will sometimes fight you to the end of completion. It's not very often that a Tamiya kit will do that though. I think you are well on your way to having this one done.

As far as painting it silver or not, you could simply go with the Mosquito that has the Flat Black or "Night" color on the undersides, and the Green / Gray camouflage on top. It has the fuselage markings of "O*SB", and is option #13.

This way you already have half of the painting done with your primer coat. It looks good enough to use as a top coat to me. In the end, it will be your decision to make, and I'm sure that whatever you chose, it will work out fine. I like what you are doing here. I'm especially impressed with the work you did in the cockpit and the landing gear. Keep it going ... 🙂

After two days wing dryed well I think. Sanding and priming was quite succesfull. I found also imperfection on cockpit door, and it takes me a lot of time to sand and reprime. It was a small scratch, probably from sanding. however, removing such on the finished surface is difficult because, despite the work put in, you can sometimes see unevenness. Small window in right side of canopy I need do glue few times after polishing, because it fell out several times.
