    Hi Bernard (@lis): Props look really nice. It is a shame that the kit props weren't better. One of the props was damaged for the Fw-189 I am building, so I ordered a replacement set.

    @david-hansen At first I thought that was two types of prop in PBM-5 but on photos I have never seen prop that look as Minicraft product. Most of YT modelers use this from the box.

    @gblair in witch kit?

    @jimmiesteve Did neighbors calling for fire brigades?☺️

    PS. Yesterday late evening I made final painting inside bomb bays.

    First of all, the bomb bay looks great.

    Regarding propellers: The only reference i have readily available is the Squadron In-Action book, which goes back in time aways. I do recall that the PBM started off with the Wright R-2600 engine, driving a three bladed propeller, and then the plane was re-engined with the R-2800, driving a 4 bladed propeller. In either case, the hubs in the Minicraft kit just look too small, though the propeller disc diameter looks okay and i think the shapes of the blades themselves are all right.

    Good bit of info about the propellers to know about this kit for whenever I get around to building it. If it is only the spinners, then these can be easily made . I have had some luck in the past redoing propeller blades, but that is more difficult. I am unsure if there are resin replacements for this kit. But aftermarket isn't always the best choice either.

    @david-hansen Unfortunetly blades don’t look as on photos. In kit blades are to thin. Right moulded propeller need to look similar as B-29 prop with characteristic reinforcment near hub.

    Bomb bay in final loom with weathering it looks quite worn.

    @clipper

    I think at this build best choice is purchase resin set of propellers that cost ~7$

    As a preventive measure, I made two 1000lbs bombs from my spare box, due to the use of Mariner during the Dutch-Indonesian conflict.
