I think the secret is to paint canopy at first with good surfacer (after masking of course). Second, with toothstick gently push all corners and edges of all pieces of masks.
PS. Today I only made wheel chocks (because of my visit to lawyer).I try to choose sth that looks as NL/NEIAF type.

@gblair also avoid vinyl masks (if there are any others) The best are from yellow tape.
