    Hi Carl (@clipper): I am glad I am not the only one who is overwhelmed by all the stuff going on this week. And it seems like everything is crowded and traffic is horrible. When did Christmas shopping start 2 weeks before Thanksgiving? I have been having trouble getting my oil washes to dry this week. It has been really humid, so I think that must be it. Looking forward to the next installment.

    Since I've retired George (@gblair), I have spent more time at home or in my local area, making the times when I do have to drive a bit more stressful, especially when I have to go into Austin. Thankfully, I can do some of my errands (i.e. purchases) without having to waste time and energy going from one store to another looking for something that they either do not have in stock, do not carry, or have no idea what I am talking about. This is especially true with modeling supplies and tools.

    Let me join the "having an overwhelming week" club, my friends @clipper and @gblair. I am retired and, typically, I have less free time now 😄

    Joining this club as well, lots of house constructions which are a never ending story.
    Still trying to find my free time when getting home from the office.

    Calling It Done. Here is a preview with two other Republic products. The razorback P-47 is a Monogram kit I built in 1982 and the P-43 Lancer is the Classic Airframes Kit I built in the early 2000s after rescuing it from oblivion. I'll have a headline article up soon.

    Great job, Carl (@clipper). It was a lot of fun following along with your innovative use of foil and sanding to get the right finish. The results certainly justify the extra effort. Well done.

    G’day Carl (@clipper),
    It is great to see this finished.
    @lis - that is not a Boomerang but a Lancer. 😊

    Thanks for following along Spiros (@fiveten), John (@johnb), George (@gblair), Bernard (@lis), Michael (@michaelt).

    Yes, that Lancer has an interesting story behind it. The real one crashed. My model was stolen, returned, crunched, built (requiring a lot of work), and basically returned from the dead.

    @clipper stolen?!

    Well, it's a rather long winded story Bernard (@lis). Suffice to say, the unbuilt model was with a load of other household goods in a trailer that was stolen and recovered. The model box was crushed by some of the other household items and the model damaged. I had put in a lot of research on the kit and wanted to build it so I worked around the damaged model parts and eventually completed the kit.
