@jmillan unfavorably... It is possible to open fuselage?

@lis yeah not sure what I'm going to do yet. If I cut the wings off it's going to create more problems. Might leave it as is...

Still plugging away on the Oscar despite the missing cockpit . Thinking I’ll probably use it on a Arri Oscar I have.

Well its got primer on it now and I been doing body work... fixing seams, filling, sanding, scribing then redoing till it’s right. You know the fun stuff. Oh first time using spru goo as well. Also painted some of the small bits, engine and what not and finally picked the paint scheme that I’ll be painting. that’s it for now.

@jmillan excellent detail work , especially the landing gear. Hasegawa sure has a hokey way of making the struts in 2 pieces, I'm not really sure why they did it unless they are different among the various versions. What consistency is your Sprue goo? I think mine is too thick, as I got lots of air bubbles in it (also shook it rigorously before use).

That camo scheme is going to be awesome

I got the silver base color on which will serve as the bmf for the under surfaces and the the chipping layer for the top. I used mr color sm206 sprayed over mr surfacer 1500 that was sanded with a 3000 sponge then buffed. Came out pretty shiny. Probably a lil too shiny for a WWII Japanese fighter but I’m sure weathering will tone it down. Next will be the the marking that will be painted. Until then.

@jmillan Looks perfect! More than my Vallejo Metal Color aluminium! I think I will use SM201, but If you will use semi gloss clear will be very good!

    Thanks for the comments guys.

Time for another update. I been working on the paint the last couple nights. I got the markings all painted and the flaps painted grey/green. Hairspray has been applied for chipping then followed by the marble pre shade layer. I used Mr Color Olive drab, dark earth and RLM yellow for this. Next was the top color of Dark Green from Mr color as well. I started to do some chipping and I'm liking how it looks so far. I still need to paint the anti-glare panel, leading edges yellow and the markings on the tail. More weathering to come as well especially on the undersides. Thanks for following along
