I've had this in the stash for 14 years...time to build it!

Great choice. I’ve always wanted to see one of those built.

Nice choice can't say I've ever seen this A/C built. Looking forward to seeing her finished.

I had this kit years ago, but I sold it off when I liquidated my 1/72 scale stuff because of my eyesight. I have always liked the G3M "Nell" and wish that someday a main stream kit manufacturer would release it in a larger 1/48 scale version. I think it would sell like hot cakes !

Please add my name to the list of those wanting to see you build your rendition of this plane. You made a great choice !

Thanks all! It's going together quickly. Typical Hasegawa kit of the era: a bit simplified but well-engineered and everything fits well. I did have to clamp the wings as the glue dried but on the whole things are moving right along.

This group is just a real eyeopener - many goodlooking planes popping up all the time! I'm tuned in to your build Mike!

What a fantastic choice, Mike! Since I 've discovered the existence of this kit I've ben struggling not to buy it and augment even further my hopeless SoD...
But now, your build looking terrific and impatiently waiting to see her built, I will not avoid buying the kit.
    All the best!

It's a fun kit. I'm having a good time building it straight out of the box, but it also seems like it would be a great platform for some scratch-built detail work!

Fuselage is together and the wings are on. I finished with the tail surfaces shortly after taking this picture.

This is such a cool looking plane... and I am impressed at how fast yours is coming together. It looks great I will add... Thanks for the updates.

Ready for paint! If anyone is going to build this kit, I strongly recommend getting a set of masks for the clear parts. There are 75 individual panes to mask, most of which involve curved surfaces.

I got about half-way into it and was losing my mind, and then realized there are sets available from several different companies. Oh well!

In the paint shop! All of it was done freehand...and things aren't quite touched up yet.

Great job Mike @mlicari! I have to admit my spot for your Nell is getting softer and softer. I will definitely buy and build one!
