There are still many models my dad wants to build, so he goes a "fast" pace. Well it also depends on the kit, if it´s a PITA to build he needs some more time.

As far as I´ve read the Judy was Fine Molds first 1/48 kit family, dating back to the late 80ies. Guess that´s why some more work needs to be done here, guess also because it is a modular kit for 4 Judy kits available. Gonna start a Fine Molds Ki-15 in some weeks, curious how that kit will "behave" 🙂

Have you and your father tried Mr Surfacer 500 for those small size gaps? Fast using and you just need a bit of cloth damped in rubbing alcohol to wipe clean the excess. No surface detail is lost this way. I also occasionally use tamiya putty dissolved in acetone in larger gaps, since it becomes liquid(ish) and adapts to irregular surfaces better without the need of big amounts of the stuff

he used Gunze Dissolved Putty for the wing roots
