Hey guys. For this build, I will be attempting to save...this thing. Its what remains of my first ever F4U-1D Corsair from Revell. She is in ROUGH shape. And since I know that the Japanese had to have captured at least one Corsair, and I found this scheme, I will attempt to resurrect it. I have a spare wing to replace the missing one, along with a spare prop thanks to a corsair I put together not too long ago. Forgive me for how she looks.

Perfect! I have seen truly fresh project ideas in this EoJ GB, what else could I see? But I did see! Your project looks amazing, Jordyn. Eagerly waiting to see your rendition, @1corsair64 !

Now that ought to be a lot of fun! What a great cs you have found for this GB, I might even be inspired to take my old Corsair through the process - I'm tuned in on this one, so keep the progress posts comin' 🙂

Thank you all. I look forward to getting it fixed up. I've been wondering what to do with it, and when I saw the opportunity, i knew it was the right decision. You wont be seeing the last of her.

    Hello Jordyn, @1corsair64
This is exactly the type of project I like to see... and a welcome addition to our EoJ group build. I have to admit, I have never seen that illustration before with a F4U in Japanese markings. I'll be checking back regularly to see how it's going. Welcome aboard !

Looking forward to it myself. I'll begin more work tomorrow, attempting to strip the old paint, removing excess glue, etc.

Looking forward to this. Can't find a photo in my books but I have found that one was captured and more than likely never test flown. I would sure like to find a photo

Hey, what color is often used for the underside of Zeros? I dont know what I should do when I get to painting this plane.

And I got the basic disassembly that I could get done. I also glued that replacement wing on. There are many gaps and holes that need filling, and I got as much paint and decal as I could off of it. I dont know what kind of paint it was, but it does not want to come off. Well, that's ok. I also repainted the cockpit.
