A great addition to your already extensive WIP list, Spiros @fiveten
And your start is already impressive.
I will follow this thread very closely since I do have a Hasegawa A6M2 in stash and want to start that shortly.
Going to check if this is the exact same kit.

Cockpit slowly coming together, seat drilled for more realism...

    Thanks for stopping by!

Checked the Planes of Fame Zero cockpit pics, @tcinla , they are amazing, clarifying quite a few things I was wondering about, regarding some elements. Very helpful indeed!
    Thanks again.

    Great step, Spiros @fiveten
Do you know the reason why they had those holes in the seat, was that to reduce the weight of this plane even further?

    Spiros, @fiveten
This is a perfect choice and fantastic addition to our wonderful EoJ group. Thank you for starting another build journal. The link provided to the 1/32 scale build journal at LSP by our friend Woody K, has a lot of valuable information in it. Brian Towes has forgotten more about these colors than I ever knew... The information there is the proverbial goldmine.

Sign me up as watching this one for sure... 🙂

As far as I know, lightening the seat was the reason for the holes, maybe an more informed friend here can provide more info on this.

    Thanks my friend @lgardner!
Indeed, the LSP discussion provided by our friend @wkubacki is priceless, I am on reading it at the moment, the amount of info provided is phenomenal.

    Fuselage halves joined...

The machine gun cover was attached on top, as well. I did not install the cockpit, as it somehow seems to fit tightly when inserted, so I will first let the glue cure and then carefully insert it underneath.
    Thanks for stopping by!

Shape is getting there, Spiros @fiveten
Something I will keep in mind when starting mine to better join the fuselage first.
    Looks great.

Yep, since I sensed some possible "tightness", I saw no reason (other than foolish impatience to attach the wings as quickly as possible! 🙂 ) for not taking the safe road of achieving a solidly glued fuselage first, then insert the cockpit at my convenience, taking care of any possible tightness*...

This is a great kit - with your skill there's going to be a fantastic model that will result.
