    Hi all,
Weathering applied using 'Flory Models' Dark Dirt wash.
Overspayed with 'Alclad' Light Sheen (ALC-311).

    Now its onto the pre-rigging!

Good progress, Mike @sandbagger. I'll be studying your rigging process for tips as I have one looming after I return from holiday and it's only my second bi-plane.

The paint and finish on your plane looks great, Mike (@sandbagger). Pre-rigging? We must have a different process. Mine consists of attempt 1, lots of swearing and profanity, attempt 2, more swearing and profanity, set everything aside for the day, then repeat for 2 or 3 days. Looking forward to your more structured method.

    Hi George,
Once I've got the model ready, I drill out the various rigging points.
Then I'll attach rigging lines, usually to the underside of the upper wing.
Once the upper wing is fitted I'll final connect the rigging and control lines to their respective anchor points.
Normally I'll try to connected rigging lines in the most appropriate order, to give myself room for the rest,

    Hi all,
The interplane and cabane struts are fitted.
Also the windscreen, gun sight and gun cooling jackets fitted.
Landing gear bracing wires fitted and upper wing pre-rigged with 0.12 mm diameter mono-filament.

Next is to fit the upper wing onto the struts,

    Very nice work, Mike @sandbagger
Especially that spider web on the upper wing.

Everything looks great, Mike (@sandbagger). Rigging is still a mystery to me, so I will continue to find WW1 planes with the absolute minimum rigging. Maybe something like a D.VIII. :o)

    Hi all,
The struts were only partially cemented in the lower wing and fuselage until the upper wing was located.
With the upper wing fitted, the struts were fully cemented.

This looks really good, Mike @sandbagger
Hopefully you can still figure out which wire goes where.
