@eb801, my apologies that it took one day longer to take the close-up image. Nevertheless, here it is. To make it myself easy, I attached the turnbuckle at first and once sufficiently strong, I put the wire through the ring and added a bit of CA. I'm sure it can be done better.

The specific aircraft that I'm building has a colorful propeller cone. It was not the easiest paint session to get the rings done but to me the cone looks acceptable right now.

Smart work, John... I like the colour scheme with the camouflaged wings and non-camouflaged fuselage. You did very well on a 1/48 scale kit getting the rigging done. My dad used to build WW1 kits in the same scale, but when I tried it I found it very difficult, hence all of my WW1 aircraft being 1/32 scale which, incidentally, aren't any easier to build and rig as such, but there is undoubtedly more space to manoeuvre delicate pieces in sometimes-clumsy hands! I hope your success with this kit will spur you on to undertake more Great War models... :-).

@gblair, thanks for following along, George.
@paulh, thank you, Paul. The space to work on those aircraft in 1/48 is indeed limited, at least with my hands 🙂 , but I'm sure I will try to tackle some more, those great war aircraft are amazing to look at.
