Thanks John, the undercarriage would require much modification to be a good copy, took the lazy way and just added the 2 bars, should be 3.

Thanks George, the camo looks just a bit too new and bright at the moment, shall tone it down with a wash and weathering. The cooling vents are just inscribed lines on the kit , so I drilled them out , its a pity it doesn't have an engine as all you see is empty space, I am hoping that when the front is closed off that it will be too dark inside to notice.

Decals are on, went reasonably well, some small cracks and rips but easy fixed.
    Pics. 1 to4 , decals.
Pic 5 Windscreen made from clear plastic and fitted, original kit item is solid grey plastic, can't see thru that. Gun sights ( PE ) fitted.
Now for the rigging and top wing fitting, amazing how you seem to put the hard jobs till last.

Looks excellent so far, my friend @firelockg! Strange that the windscreen was molded in solid styrene.

Strange indeed Spiros, probably to keep the price down.

I thought that it looked ok too John, but you would think that a clear plastic part in the kit would be the go.

Took the "new" off it today with a light brown wash, before the rigging gets in the way.
I am waiting for some Gaspatch turnbuckles, got to pick up at the PO tomorrow, but started the rigging today. Tail rigged, undercarriage completed and cabane struts started. Start the rest when I get the parcel home. The photos show dust on the model, from drilling rigging mounting points, forgot to blow it off.

Thanks John, have to make a heap of mounting eyelets and secure them before any rigging takes place. The SPAD has allot of complex rigging so have to go carefully so as not to make a mess of it.

Rigging in progress, although slow,( music practise before Fridays gig ).
Pic1. 1/32 Gaspatch turnbuckle with 0.2mm copper wire eyelet added.
Pic 2. Inner struts partly rigged.
Pic 3. Inner struts showing PE double rigging wires. The other PE rigging just doesn't look right or in scale. The camera lens is obviously dusty, must clean it.
