Cold War Uber?
German Leopard 1, but I can't tell specifically WHICH model.
Am I close? If not, I think it might just BE that Cold War Uber. (Awesome answer, Mike Carter!)
If it's not the two mentioned above, did they have a bridge laying version using the Leopard 1 tank chassis ? Similar to how we had an AVLB bridging tank using the M-60 chassis, and later the M-1 ?

Just to put you all out of your misery, it's going to be aLeopard AS1 (Australian) AVLB. This is the first of what's going to be many stages! So far, it's a kit bash with the forward hull from the Tamiya Gepard and the rear from the new Revell Leopard 1A1... lots of scratch building to do! I've had to remove the rear section (from the Gepard) to add detail changes to the rear (new bin doors) a changed shape to the recess for the vehicle hitch and convoy sign. It'll also need more bin doors on the top... and this is just the upper hull!
