Good morning, all! I've been poking around the 'net and what do ya know, those old IMC Ford GT kits are still available-for a price! I've seen several offerings of the Mk II kit and even one of the original GT. And here's something that I found quite interesting; it's an ad for the IMC kits with some fascinating info:

What a great advert, @garybrantley, @brithebuilder, @fiveten, those seats look great by the way, I guess the holes help to keep the drivers cool.

Driver's seat finished. This side actually didn't need any sanding or touch up painting. After adding all the washers, I added a thin coat of the canopy glue over all the washers, let it dry and then added a thin coat of black wash.

Funny how doing the first 126 washers would make the second 126 smoother. I didn't count before I did it, but yeah, there's 126 per seat.

The center console needs an updated coat of gloss, the forward button on the console will have another bit of PE sticking out, a start lever/switch kind of thing. Might even be visible at the end. 🙂

@brithebuilder $50+ shipping for 2 MkIV's not bad. Considering some of the prices I've seen. BTW seats look great.

@brithebuilder, I feel my will power waning with each passing hour, Brian! 😁 Ah, but for one more chance at a childhood memory... 😊

PE on the brake and clutch pedals... My first go at masking tape seat belts turned out pretty good. I almost dug out the seat belt material that came with the GTs PE set but I decided to give the masking tape a shot. One side is a bit thicker but once it's closed up it won't be noticeable.
