    Paint looks great, Brian (@brithebuilder). I also try to avoid mixing my own colors. I always seems that something happens later in the build that will require me to touch up the paints. And it is almost impossible to come up with the color again. Nice job on the airbrush holder. What software did you use?

    @gblair - Thanks George. Agreed... I just bought a 50 pack of 15ml dropper bottles like the Vallejo style so I can mix custom colors and have enough made up for future projects. $15 for 50 bottles seems reasonable. More storage though.

    I use Autodesk's 3ds Max 2024. I started using 3D Studio in 1998... still in DOS, it evolved into 3ds Max when it moved to Windows. It's not free, but it's what I also teach and I do still pick up a freelance 3D gig here and there.

    I am seeing that the first iteration has sagged slightly, the neck was a bit thin, this version is about a mm thicker.

    @fiveten - Thanks Spiros!
    @johnb - Thanks John! The PE adds so much 'true' scale detail.

    Not sure if it's Fujimi or me, but the lower glass on the fog lights doesn't fit great. It's possible that the interior piece that sits behind the light could be side specific and I swapped them... could just be a bad fit too. I've also noticed that as I'm looking at images of the car at the end of the race for some weathering reference, the 3 front corner logos are in the wrong locations in the instructions. I'm pretty sure the hood number should be completely on the hood as well. I also painted the trim around the window black. Only Fujimi box art shows chrome trim. Black looks way better.

    Hi, brithebuilder, not sure about some of those detail markings, they might have changed from race to race, but I am sure the windscreen surrounds should indeed be black, and as you say, they look better that way.

    Better to use the pictures as reference instead of the instructions, Brian @brithebuilder
    Really nice progress.

    @chinesegeorge - Hey George, the decal location may have changed from race to race, but if the photos are accurate from the 1968 Le Mans race, then the instructions are inaccurate. Not a big deal, but if anyone wants to be accurate to that specific race they shouldn't rely on the instruction sheet for decal placement.

    @fiveten - Thanks Spiros.

    @johnb - That does seem to be the case doesn't it John. At least anything that can be referenced with actual photos.

    Wiring complete!
    Looks so cool in the darkened room.
    I took the front wheels off in order to slide the body on rather than spreading the body to fit over the top. Worked great and seems better than stressing the body. All the wiring is tucked below the engine deck and is connected to a single wire coming out from the bottom. The connection is soldered and heat shrunk so it should be good forever.
    Now for the final details and a bit of light weathering.

    All the details are in place. After it all dries for a while, I'll start hitting it with Vallejo's Light Grey wash.
