    Very nice work, George @chinesegeorge
I can imagine you would like to leave the rear section open, maybe you can figure out what is causing this gap and modify it in such a way that it will close easier.

Nice, George@chinesegeorge. I don't know if you can find Microscale products in China, but I recommend you get a bottle of Micro Liquitape. As the label says: "A tacky adhesive for temporally joining most model materials - early removed".

I love this stuff and it cleans up with water. I use it to hold things in place that I want to remove occasionally. The thicker the application, the stronger the hold . Dries clear first and then attach. An Essential toolbox must have. Apply it to the edges of that rear hood at the contact points and your problem should be solved.

Looks excellent, my friend @chinesegeorge! I would add a piece of tak underneath, to keep the rear section in place.

Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions. @gblair, I’ve found someone advertising Liquitape, but at the moment they are still closed for the new year holiday. @johnb, I couldn’t see any obstructions to holding it in place, it was just gravity I think. @fiveten Spiros, I tried some blu-tak but I think the clearances are too small for it to work properly. @garybrantley and @eb801, thanks for looking.

In the end I decided to cement the centre and rear sections together.

It seems a shame but the centre and rear sections are still removeable in one piece, and anyway I already have photos of the engine department.

A few little touch ups required before taking pictures of the completed model. I’d like to take some outdoor photos but this morning the temperature was minus 20C………

Many thanks to everyone for following along, and happy modelling.

Looks great, George (@chinesegeorge). I never add removable parts to a model, if I can help it. Plastic can only take so much and then it goes back to its constituent parts. We know the engine is in there.
