    Great looking Tyranids, Brian @brithebuilder
They will look fanatstic on the Warhammer playingfield.

Built the base and mounted a USB port in the back. It's 13" x 13" as the display case it will sit in has 14" x 14" shelves. I also finished up the final details on the Tyranids. I wasn't digging the highlights this morning, I guess my glazes weren't quite thin enough and there were noticeable edges so I went back in with the purple shade thinned down and fine tuned the blends.

After doing a basic layout of the scene and then a basic arrangement of the basing scenic stuff, my buddy Mike asked if we could still add a few dead Chaos Space Marines that have been overrun by the Tyranids. So, torn apart Space Marines are being added to the base. Most of them will end up being under the swarm but they should add a cool element that isn't immediately noticeable. Chaos stuff has a lot of horns, and tentacles so the addition of Apoxie Sculpted bits will add the Chaos to the standard Space Marines.

Finished the cork layers, rocks and texture paste on the base. It'll probably be a day or two before it fully dries, the texture paste is pretty heavy in spots. I also sprinkled some very fine sand over most of it. Whatever doesn't adhere to the texture paste will be locked in by the primer. I believe the various different textures will be noticeable once it's painted and dry brushed.
