I was planning to start this old Monogram kit for a long time. I have starfed by painting the fuselage parts.
All inner surfaces painted to US interior green except for the bomb bay. Bomb bay painted to natural metal due to my references by using Alclad lacquers.

Due to lack of details inside the nacelles , I have decided to modify this area. Some details made from plastic card and painted to USAF interio green. During the installation of the nacelles some weight added to the front of the nacelles for stability due to instruction sheet.

The second modification on this area is engines cowlings. I did not like multi parts kit cowlings. Loons model engine & cowling set was ordered before. I have used only the resin cowling part. Again I did not like somethings. This time resin cowling flaps. They are made scractbuilt from plastic card.

    Tolga,
I really look forward to seeing the completed project. I like this airplane andI built this kit. Sadly Monograms is the only one in 1/48. It is not an easy kit to built because nothing fits correctly. It requires a lot of extra work to finish it. That is why I await seeing yours. With your master skills and attention to details I am confident it will be
    outstanding.

Slow your roll Frank, Monogram is not the only one to make a B-26 in 1/48. AMT also made one. The AMT kit is just as detailed as the Monogram offering and just as difficult to build. I have had the Monogram B-26 on my "To-Do" list for some time now, maybe after I see what Tolga does with his, I might become inspired to start mine. Good luck Tolga.

The nacelle fit is atrocious. Hang in there!

Oh- you might want to consider a "spreader" in the tail gunners area to hold the fuselage with proper relative to the horizontal stabilizer fillet. This this might save you some serous grief.

The Loon cowlings look like a significant improvement!
