A Trio of Hasegawa Macchis

December 3, 2012 · in Aviation · · 2 · 1.6K

Hasegawa's scale Macchi C.202 and C.205 kits are probably the best 1/48 kits of any WWII Italian aircraft to date. Accurate, well-detailed and well fitting, there are many different decal options available for this series of kits. I did the C.202 of the 51 Stormo (the dark green and tan-spotted one) a few years back, and did the tan and the ANR Veltro two or three months ago. AeroMaster decal sheets were used for all three of them. It is my opinion that the C.202 Folgore is one of the most beautiful aircraft of all time. Enjoy the pics...

  1. Very nice set of Mario Castoldi's finest! I especially like the Russian front 202. Very good work on a lesser-travelled road! I really do not understand why more people do not do Italian aircraft - they have the absolute BEST paint-jobs to try and replicate!

I'll be posting a couple of mine (202's & a 205 soon (within a few days - once I've done some new photos) along with a Finnish Bf109G-2.

  2. Welcome aboard to my fellow "First Saturday presenter" at Chino. I've seen these models in person, and they are indeed as nice if not nicer than the pictures show.
