1/25 AMT ERTL Snapfast Plus-Ford GT90
This is how you take a 15 minute snap-tite project, and turn it into week long ordeal. The Ford GT 90 (concept) was a flop ! Considering it's unusal look, it did hve a pop-up "wing" in the rear, which only made it look more so. AMT produced this in '91, and it's still on Ebay. I thought of it as a "what if" project, by giving it a non-exsistant Gulf paint job. I guess it's proof that even the "Gulf colors" can't make an ugly car look good ! ( I guess I should have learned after my first attempt, putting the old blue/white Ford GT paint job on a 1/18th Ford GT 90 die cast) Still, it doesn't look too bad sitting between the Gulf Ford GT, and Gulf McLaren (re-painted die casts)

Joe,
Amazing what you have done with this. Must just be me but I don't think the car looks that awful. Kind of in a world of it's own. I like it.

a 15 minute build? there is always a snag . Good job done there, It shows that a bit of fettling and a decent paint job can turn things around.

The Gulf colour scheme is probably the best sportcar livery ever, and you've done a very neat job of it, Joe, but it does look much better on a Ford GT40 or a Porsche 917...

I recall having a pale blue '64 Ford GT and a royal blue '65 Ford GT back in my slot car days. Your "GT 90" is certainly different from the mid 60's versions, I like color scheme but the shape, well, you know...nice job as always and something different, always a plus.
