1957 Chevrolet Mild Custom
This started out as a two door sedan. All emblems have been shaved, hood smoothed, chassis given a lower stance & insert applique between chrome removed.
Engine is a big block 409, wired & cooled by a photo-etch electric fan.
Paint is from MCW (Model Car World) & chrome trim is bare metal foil.
I didn't let my camera do it's job on a couple of shots but hopefully you still get the idea.
I love it, Al, please can you build me a real one?
Great looking build, Al.
"See the USA in your Chevrolet
America is asking you to call..."
I always thought the 1957 Chevy as the best looking Chevrolet of the 1950's. In fact when I see a classic plane, boat, motorcycle, (or anything) I always refer to it's appearence "as classic looking as a 57 Chevy". Nice clean build, great paint job.
Al.
All I can say is that it looks real and I wish i owned it.
Myself, I think it's the '57 and '58 Chevys, the '57 being the ultimate development of the new design started in 1955. This one looks really nice.
Tom, I have the '55 built, the '58 started as the American Graffiti car & need to do the '56 so my thoughts are the same as yours.
great work al
Thanks for the positive comments.
