Anyone who can paint figures as life-like as these certainly gets a tip of the hat from me...I can't paint figures worth a damn - they always look toy-like. 🙁
One of the newer techniques is to use acrylics as the base colours and then refine the features etc with oils. Not everyone uses it, but you can see the subtle differences in colour graduation, I think.
