Eduard 1/72 Fokker Eindecker.IV

October 28, 2014 · in Aviation · · 11 · 1.9K

I built this little kit in preparation for a Wingnut Wings kit. It went together fairly well. It had some photo-etch parts (seat belts, wheel covers, guns) and they were nice. After putting the cockpit in I tried to cover-up the seam down the middle. I didn't quite smooth it all out. The wings were one piece and had nice cloth and ribs texture. The engine was pretty complicated for a small kit and looks very good. I rigged this plane with EZ-line, which is a work of art and I will use it on all my future models. The base is nice and simple with some Woodland Scenics grass and shrubbery. All in all it was a nice kit and if you like small scale WWI this is a beautiful kit. Nate

  1. Sweet little Fokker.
Looks like you got your eye in there Nate.
    Well done mate

  2. Nice little build, Nate...personally, I avoid anything with rigging (planes, ships, etc.) - even if it DOES only have one wing. 🙂
That EZ line is neat stuff...I use it for antenna wire(s).

  3. Really cool build! I just finished one from the shelf of doom, with one more on the stack in the stash.

By the way, just to be accurate, the dual guns make this
    an E-IV
