Some of my stuff for starters.............
Hi everyone,
As a newbie here, I thought I,d share a few pics of my models first before I get into doing a full build. All of the above have been completed in the last 18 months or so, mostly out of the box.
Most recent completions are the Hansa Brandenburg (awesome kit, want more Wingnut!), which I will share in its finished form shortly.
The F/A-18C is the Academy kit, and when I built it I had an epic fail in trying to be clever. I used much Aires stuff, but hardly any of it fitted properly, and in some cases actually hampered building. My lesson to anyone planning on doing this model is to stick with OOB, as it is a superb kit on its own.
The PT boat is Italeris, and is enormous! Why that should be a limiting factor when choosing a model is beyond me...! Oops!
The Star Wars stuff is all Fine Molds. I love these models, they are very simple, and the detail is brilliant. I have the 1/72 Millennium Falcon in the stash, with a full etch and lighting kit planned...
Anyway, hope you enjoy these.
Cheers,
Ian
Very nice modelling, you have a great range of interests !Can t wait to see your Hansa Brandenburg finished.
And think big ๐
Great "starters" there Ian, can't wait for the main course ๐ !
Fine selection, Ian. You have eclectic tastes. I particularly like the PT boat with its wealth of detail.
I love the paintjob on the PT-boat. Great work with nuances on the deck and great looking torpedoes.
I would really like to see more of it.
Ulf
Welcome aboard Ian, after looking at your starters, I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work
Some amazing models there mate!
Very nice indeed! Can't wait to see more! Well done.
Really nice feedback everyone. Many thanks. Will have to sort my pics out and get some proper articles done...
Please do! They are fantastic mate, you obviously have talent!
Is the hornet 1/32?
I'll concur with the majority, sir. Well done indeed, but we need more PICTURES (especially that PT boat - what scale is that)?
A cornucopia of modeling subjects, very nice. One suggestion on your PT boat...life rings were painted gray in WWII, the hi-viz red/orange painted life rings didn't show up until the 1950's...
Looks like you are one to spread your talents over a variety of subjects. Glad to have you with us.
You have done some great stuff there Ian.
Like the others, can`t wait for the Hanza...
fine weathering...i want one of those big PT's
nice work! looking forward to seeing more of your builds! ๐
Some nice models there, Ian, welcome to iModeler, I'm sure you'll enjoy it, looking forward to seeing some more pictures.
